With Aleo Blockchain Mining Machines, Bitmain expands its product line.

Aleo is a blockchain platform that focuses on privacy and uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), and Bitmain, the top manufacturer of Bitcoin (BTC) mining equipment, has announced plans to introduce miners made for Aleo.

In a WeChat post on Monday, the China-based company revealed its goals and stated that it would launch an "Antminer" model specifically for Aleo, which is currently in the testnet stage.

The change comes after Bitmain made a recent eye-catching internal announcement about paying its employees later than expected in September due to, allegedly, cash flow issues.

Despite this, the company has now found a solution and is still working hard to expand their product line; however, they have not provided a specific release date for the Aleo miner.

Some mining companies have expressed a lot of interest in Bitmain's newest Antminer S21 model, which the company has already launched.

For example, CleanSpark, an American Bitcoin miner listed on Nasdaq, announced earlier this month that it had made a significant investment in S21 mining equipment and that it anticipates that once all the new machines have been installed, the efficiency of its overall operation will increase by more than 17%.

The transition to Aleo-based mining equipment fits with Bitmain's strategy to diversify its product line and look into new business opportunities in the blockchain industry.

As the top producer of application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining machines, the company continues to be a significant player in the mining hardware industry despite navigating financial difficulties.

Along with manufacturing mining equipment, Bitmain also manages AntPool, the second-largest Bitcoin mining pool in the world after Foundry USA.
